And here is a paper pieced card I’d given Anand.

I saw this sentiment in a few Stamps.
“Christ is the Reason for the Season”
Indeed!!! Amen.
Merry Christmas to you all :)
Here is what I made for my husband.
With the gorgeous Stickles.
And this beautiful wreath – made by Indira Tanwar. When I saw this on her blog, I had to buy 6 from her for this year’s Christmas tree. They are soo beautiful. Thanks girl for these and helping out on CraftyJC Challenge :)
And a few cards I made this season
This one uses Imaginisce stamp.
Now, guess what is wrong with this!!
Have you ever seen brown Polar Bears! :D lol..thankfully I caught this mistake before posting the card and switched the bear to a white bear!! :) :)
Ok. You figured right. I wanted to post these before tonight :)
Thanks for all your wishes when my lil one was born.
Merry Christmas again and may the peace of the Lord be with you and your family.
Cheers,
JC
We are awaiting this Christmas eagerly. Will be a Magical Christmas certainly. What with a new born at home and my little angel
Here is a card you can mass produce. Can even be made as a one layer card.
The tip I learnt from KWerner Design’s 25 days of Christmas is “to make your supplies stretch, use stamps”. This way you will never run out of anything :) Me {hearts} the idea.
I planned to have 3 of those Holly leaves on the right. But my heart yearned for some white space. So stopped with one. Now I can make 2 more cards with those leaves I’ve already cut and coloured :)
A little bit of Sakura’s Star Dust to add a little bling.
Now, I’ve seen such stamps on the entire face of the card. How do you manage to stamp it correctly all over? Stamping it twice? Or is the card smaller? This card is an A4 folded in two. Well, I really think people out there are using smaller cards – half the size!! .. Any tips – much appreciated :) Thanks.
What went in
I am glad I am getting some crafting done before the next little one arrives :)

When I saw this post on Simplicity on Collage, I was certainly inspired.
This made look at this DCWV paper stack I’ve had for ages with a new light. And here is where I ended.
The panel in the centre is cut out from a 12x12 paper and the added the bit of red paper on the left – punched with Fiskars Threading Water border punch. Just a random layout
Added a little bit of Sakura Gelly Roll Star Dust to the hearts and flowers – yes you can see if you see a little carefully. lol :)
And of course the sentiment is from Hero Arts Everyday Sentiments
Thanks for stopping by :)
Cheers,
JC
If you are wondering about why the you in the title is with a small “y” rather than a capital “Y” – please see the sentiment below :)
Another PTI card with a Hero Arts sentiment.
What went in:
Well, I initially used the “just a note” sentiment from this sentiment set, thinking it would go well with the musical notes by the bird. But the font was too upright for the curvy rest of the card. So this new sentiment got popped up on a hand cut banner :)
PS: I can’t imagine why someone will want to die cut this style of banners. Isn’t it easier to hand cut it, rather than bothering with all those sandwiches etc??? Or is it just lazy me for the lack of the banner die! ;)
Thanks for stopping by :)
Cheers,
Jaya
Here is me with my new PTI – Wonderfully Whimsical stamp
Nothing to speak about here :) The red panel was hand cut on top
A lit bit of the lovely Sakura Gelly Roll in Star Dust
And a little itty bitty bow completes the card.
Thanks for stopping by. I am already dreaming of Christmas :)
Cheers,
Jaya
Heylo :)
We have a beautiful challenge on CraftyJC Challenge – Simplicity
And here is me providing a bit of, ahem, inspiration :)
Hope over to the challenge to view details.
And thanks for stopping by :)

This is something I made for my DH. Anand, my husband, has been having a tough project and I see so little of him. So, to cheer him up, I made this card and left a few gifts in a bag in his cupboard and a little pick-me-up to cheer him up. Love you A :)
I’ve loved the sentiment I’ve seen in many places.. “love you.. sew much”. Such a fun sentiment which leads you to so many possibilities! :)
The hearts are hand cut, stamped with Ippity A Bit of Burlap and clear embossed. I wanted a casual look and so didn’t worry about careful stamping or anything. The bits of ribbon attached with a staple pin. The circle windows were cut with Nestabilities.
Sentiment is hand written.
This card is inspired by KWernerDesign. She makes such wonderful cards and lovely hand written sentiments. And all that hand drawn stitching. Aww.. gorgeous! :)
Thanks for stopping by :)
Cheers,
Jaya
Well, that’s what the sentiment says :)
Here is the card I promised (to myself) to post. This is the card I made first and then used the punched flowers to make this Just a Note.
Sentiment is white embossed using Hero Arts powder. Any suggestions on a decent white ink pad?
Popped up the punched panel with dimensions. I love the way it creates shadows.
The bit of ribbon is an after thought – well to hide a bit of mess I created :D

Here is your next inspiration from our lovely creative Ujjwal.
Please welcome our second DT for this Challenge, Ujjwal
“Hello, I’m Ujjwal living in Pune, India and like the rest of the us am seriously addicted to Craft- making, admiring, hoarding and most defiantly buying ( things that I don't need but MIGHT need :D ). I got married to a wonderful guy 2 and a half months back and life has been a beautiful journey ever since. My DH is most supportive, encouraging and ever so patient with my crafting needs(I am not sure if its the same when I go on my crafting shopping spree!)
I have been into card making and crafting since I was a small kid but it got serious when I discovered blogging one and a half year back and started my own blog in February last year and there has been no looking back. I have met some very talented people..made wonderful friends and learned a lot.
I am glad to have been given the opportunity to be a guest designer at CraftyJC Challenges today! I am looking forward to all the creativity, fun and crafting!”
About Project
“Although I am a card maker, I have recently ventured into the world of scrapbooking and enjoying it thoroughly. For this project, I picked up some of my college pictures and created a layout incorporating hand writing and doodling.”
Here are some more views of this. All the lovely doodling is gorgeous.
There are a lot more of these on her blog too
What a great inspiration, Ujjwal. Thanks for the awesome inspiration.
Now, dear crafters, please loved some love to Ujjwal and come back join us at this fun challenge #7 Digi or Doodle.
Cheers,
Jaya
Today I am most inspired – but failed to translate that. One of those days :)
Inspired by the Medallion and the butterfly at Simplicity on this post here
Aww.. no redeeming words for this one today and I am not one to complain about what I make too much .. lol… :)
Sketch based on Clean & Simple Stamping FTL #131
Thanks for stopping by. And today marks end of AWIC Edition 2. Thanks to all you girls for so much yumness and inspiration and FUN!
Cheers,
JC
PS: Apologies for the poor lighting :p
Yesterday’s search yielded this card as well over at Simplicity. But I resisted making them both :)) Now, I am SO glad I didn’t make them both :)
I loved the colour combination and a touch of glitter – so cased both.
Since the cake itself had a sentiment I had to add that bow. Maybe I’ll try one without a bow.
Hero arts prisma glitter. Yumm.
Thanks for dropping by. Really appreciate you coming over :)
Cheers,
JC
AWIC 2 – Day5 :) Fun.
Today’s card is super simple.
I wanted to make a birthday card and Google-d Simplicity and this is what I decided to CASE. Mine is super simplified :))
This Felt embellishment is from ItsyBitsy – I am glad I could finally use it. Sentiment is from Hero Arts Ink-n-Sweets Stamp set. This set has a lot of fun elements :)
Thanks for stopping by. So appreciate you dropping in.
Cheers,
JC
Ok, stalking continues :)
I don’t have many stamps. Just a handful. And looking around at challenge blogs and other blogs on my Google Reader makes me feel wanting. My cards are simple – almost plain. Busy cards don’t make happy – but that doesn’t stop me from feeling “oh I can never make something like that”
That’s when Simplicity helps. Susan’s cards and her insights are always ALWAYS a big source of inspiration. I look around her blog and find that simple is good. I don’t have to have a lot many things happening for my card to be nice : ) Ok, let me say that again. Ahem.
Today’s inspiration is Simplicity and Tejal. Tejal is so taken with butterflies – I find that very sweet. She is very giving, warm and encouraging. So, today I searched Simplicity on Google Feed for butterflies.
I had shortlisted some 7 cards and in the end these are based on this for the layout (butterflies and the sentiment) and this for the embellishments
This Stampabilities dots background is the only background stamp I have – so it was the obvious choice :) See fewer supplies means lesser time to decide <grin/>
Stamped this in the middle with clear embossing and then embossed over the stove’s flame. Rubbed ink all over.
This green one has the dots stamped with some left over ink in the stamp which I forgot to wipe and clear embossing ink – then clear embossed. Butterflies diecut is from itsybitsy.
The banner is due to smudged-ink. And the stamp is my, yes you are right, Hero Arts Everyday Saying :)
I wish I had something interesting to day about the colours like Susan does – but since I have nothing to say – let me stop my rather rambling post now! :)))
Entering for these challenges
And today is AWIC2 – Day4. We are planning on AWIC (A Week In Cards) to be a monthly event. From the 1st of every month – for a week. Suggestions welcome – please email me at mail.craftyjc(at)gmail.com
Thanks for stopping by. So appreciate you dropping in.
Cheers,

This weeks OLW #44 is to be inspired by Marta's boards. My choice is this pinterest here
I wonder if Susan herself remember this one on Simplicity :)
Today’s card is a combination of these two.
The colours of flowers are the same and in the same order as that of Marta’s pinterest here. And the flowers and the sentiment placement is based on Simplicity’s card here
I now hope Susan doesn’t start to think I am stalking her! <grin/>
This goes to the challenges
Day 3 of AWIC Edition 2. I am a survivor :)
Thanks for dropping by. Glad to have you over here :)
Cheers,
JC
Well, I had all plans to play along with AWIC Edition 2. But just don’t have the .. mmm.. energy :)
But I think I’ll play along from the outside – at a best endeavours basis. I hope I won’t kick myself after posting 7 cards :)))
This card is inspired (read CASE) by Simplicity’s card You Are Wonderful.
And here is my CASEing of this card. (I wanted to post Susan’s card also – but wasn’t sure about copyright etc)
An (very) old Hobby Ideas stamp, MS border punch and Hero Arts Everyday Sentiment. Rounded of with Buttons from ItsyBitsy
Thanks for dropping by.
Cheers,
JC
PS: I am linking AWIC 2 here :)
I hereby state that I made these cards before 11PM last night and would like to emphatically blame Power Supply for the delay in posting them :)
Well, the final post for AWIC Edition 1.
I have two super simple cards to show you. Super simple to make after the not so super simple thought process :o)
Cuttlebug Swiss dots and Birthday die cuts. I don't to use any other folder than my Swiss dots.!! Maybe I should sell them.
Thanks for visiting.
Looking forward to Edition 2 which starts tomorrow. Email me at mail.craftyjc(at)gmail.com if you like to play along for a week of madness! :))
My AWIC playmates thanks for all the fun! YOU girls rock and HOW!!
Cheers,
JC
Day 6! :) Phew! Am I thrilled or what! :D
My first monochromatic card.
Just a hint of glitter on the flowers. Both the flowers and sentiment are digital – from my stash. The flower digi stamp is from papergardenprojects – called Spring Blooms. Sentiment computer generated – you can download it here.
I was VERY tempted to pop in a button or some colour somewhere – but I resisted, only just adding a tiny amount of bling.

PS: What a concidence! LOL! :) Ujjwal also has posted a monochrome card! :)
Cheers,
JC
I’ve seen these beautiful hand made flowers on blogosphere – especially likes these one: Juhi’s and Creation-Faeries . Have always wanted to make one but never have before today.
The card stock is more Kraft than Gray :) But Gray is what my camera thinks it is.
Scallop Nestabilities layered and scrunched to make the flowers
A few pearls and my silver gel pen finishes up the card
I am thrilled with the results :)
