Say it with flowers

Image
Using the same paper as here , this card was a quick card. OLFA circle cutter, black gel pen and some ribbons. I think I could have added a few gems to it though. And I am thinking, I need a few circle punches smaller than what the circle cutter can cut. What size circle punches do you use frequently?

Image
I’d made this card for my dad. He is my super hero! :) No stamps here. The multi-coloured strips were are hand drawn using water colour pencils. The layout inspire by a card I’d seen long ago on web. Sorry but I fail to remember.   Thanks for looking! And apologies for the not so good photograph. Cheers, JC

Christmas is near!

Image
Love Christmas! And so for my very first Card Pattern challenge, I chose Christmas as my theme. The challenge post is here Challenge #40 Here is my take. Papers are all from Venus Traders – a local Pune craft shop.  I {heart} the gold paper. Sticker is from Daisy and Dandelion.     Would love to know you liked this! : ) My lil baby girl Keetee seems to love it ;) Cheers, JC ETA : Added a couple of snowflakes on the Red panel.. it was looking forlornly Again ETA : Changed the picture again. The previous didn’t show the gold too well.

Say it with a Birthday hat!

Image
It’s my mom-in-law’s birthday in a few days & I made this for her. She doesn’t check this blog so it is OK (I hope) to post this early :) This has the dry emboss technique – which I read online. Have a look at this link on "from my ink pad to yours" for further details. More pictures below     What took me the most time is what embellishment to add – stones or ribbons or glitter. Thanks for dropping by. Cheers, JC

Birthday Cupcake

Image
Hero Arts have these wonderful Cupcake stamps. This is NOT one of them. But inspired by them. Materials used: OLFA circle cutter, Fiskars scissors for the scallops, Printed out the sentiment. Hope this helps when you are short of craft supplies :) That’s my HP printer on which the cards are propped. Thanks for looking and would love to hear from you :) Cheers

No patterned paper? No problem! :)

Image
Didn’t have any patterned paper. So hand drew this. Since this was not defined drawing, I could go to town with the scribbling and colouring Coloured using water colour pencils and ran over it with a wet painting brush. Thanks for looking.

Flowers for you!

Image
Here is a card with stamped flowers in a pot! I use Fiskars scissors for edging the papers. Got the stamp in HobbyIdeas (the Pidilite venture) – they don’t have too many stamps though. Thanks for looking

Birthday with flowers

Image
Again using the gift wrapper to make those flower cut outs. I made this for a Mrs. Margaret in our church choir. She sings Alto beautifully.. I loved to sing Alto  - actually sing and not just string notes together – from her. I admire her. She is seventyish and I wish I’d be as young as her when I am 50!  My husband (Polly) says I am this wide-eyed-fan of hers :D And he is right! :)) Thanks for looking!!

A simple Birthday card

Image
But I love this one – if I may say so myself :)   Thanks for looking.

Message in an Envelope.. yea!

Image
I like this one. Versatile. Can be used for anything. And the envelope can also be number of anything.. Think about a bunch of hearts pouring out of the envelope.. for Val day. Well now that’s an idea :)) Will try to make one a post it. There are a lot of free templates available online to make envelopes of various sizes and types, though I didn’t use on here. Thanks for looking.

Happy Everything!!

Image
Made this for a friend’s dad’s birthday. Well.. ideally should be using patterned paper. But in India we get none – I think – if you know of any place where I can lay my hands on some nice stuff please please let me know. So as a substitute – I’ve used gift wrapper :D. Embellished and a little glitter bling on the background. Thanks for looking.

Happiness Always

Image
Made this card for my friend celebrating her fifth Wedding Anniversary – and so the five flowers.. – obvious huh! :) Envelope has butterflies punched on the flap to match the one in the card. The butterfly in the card is actually mounted on the inside of the card. Thanks for looking.

O Christmas Tree!

Image
An embellished Daisy an Dandelion Christmas tree , with “Wishing you a Merry Christmas” sentiment. Thanks for looking!!

My Christmas Reindeer

Image
Another Daisy and Dandelion stamp – this time a Reindeer for you :) 6 x 3.5 inches approximately. The popped-up Reindeer has eyes he can roll to lookie and seeie :) The background is stamped with metallic blue snow and embellished Christmas Trees. Thanks for looking! :)

Christmas time angel

Image
Christmas wishes from an angel. Card size: 4.5 x 3 inches approximately The angel is stamped on a white card stock and then matted with red and silver. Other colours could be Red and Green – very Christmas colours. Thanks for looking :)

3-D Christmas tree

Image
This is one of my favourites. Background stamped with Daisy and Dandelion stamps, this Christmas tree has three layers, matted in silver. A tag “Merry Christmas” pops out of the tree with an unconventional silver wire. The whole ensemble is mounted in, yes, the Christmas colours of Green and Red. Thanks for looking.
