Craft for a cause!

Recently I was introduced to an initiative here in Pune called School Kit Donation. This is for the underprivileged children in and around Pune – to help them with a School kit. This is basically a School  bag furnished with a set of books & geometry box to help them with the start of school. Each kit is Rs. 250 (Approx 5 US dollars)
You can find more details here http://schoolkit.info
There was a donation drive here at work & I’d volunteered to be in the stall to help with collecting the funds.
That’s when it hit me – I can place the cards from my stash for sale & give the proceeds for this drive. I had only a few cards & could make only a few in the night. In all I had around 15 cards and all of them were sold out! I am so glad I was able to contribute this way as well – in addition to donating & volunteering to assemble the kits (next Sunday!)
May I request you to please pop in over to the above website & if you can please do contribute. For any details please get in touch with me or leave a comment here & I will get back to you :)
Here is one of the cards I’d made for the sale.
