Well, today is my little girl's second birthday and this is what we gave her. The right stickers and the card came together easily. All stickers from Venus Traders, Pune. My lil girl loves animals, Elle the elephant and butterfly butterfly and ducks :) K – I love you much. God bless you with many more birthdays. This is my entry for the 3rd day of AWIC – A Week In Cards Thanks for stopping by. Cheers, JC

Looks like all my posts are going to be close to midnight :) But I am so glad I am in this with the other girl :) A Week In Cards ( AWIC ) is a brilliant way of kick starting your mojo and sustaining it! :) I am soo loving it. Here is a birthday card I soo enjoyed making . Again – I will repost pics tomorrow if I can :)   Circle die-cuts using Nestabilities, stamps are from Hero Arts Ink-n-Stamp Sweets and Cuttlebug embossing folder. AWIC – Edition 1

Here is therapy for everyone who wants to kick start their mojo – kick being is the operative word here and therapy mean over-dosing any one particular remedy! :) So here we have AWIC – A Week In Cards – the idea is to make and post a card the same day for one whole week. Phew! That is my addiction program, girls! With 6 more minutes go, here I post my first card :) If my midnight photography is miserable, I’ll re-post the pics alone tomorrow. When I saw this post on Paperlicious, I’ve always wanted to case it. That’s the main reason I bought this five petal punch.   This card’s layout is inspired by this week’s Card  Patterns Sketch 104 . If you are wondering about the similarities, please look closely :o) The layout is REALLY inspired by this sketch. A 2x3 layout, ribbon and two accents. :))         5 Petal Punch from itsybitsy , butterfly punch from Venus traders, Pune. Paper from a DCWV stack I got years back from J...

One Flower, Three flutter-bys and a Million Polka dots

Here is a card I made recently – which I sent to Karuna – she is my Secret Sweetheart :) (a fun game we played in India amongst fellow crafters) Did you know that while stamping large images – especially backgrounds – standing on the stamp after inking and placing it  on the card provides an even impression? I think I read this on Savitri’s blog . It actually worked! The felt flower was meant to be a die cut – it started as a cuttlebug die cut – but ended as hand cute :D I couldn’t get a nice cut out.   The butterflies are from a tiny punch and the flourish is a Sizzix Sizzlit die - Decorative Swirls Set . The Sizzix Outlet has great deals throughout the year. Sizzlits works with cuttlebugs too. The “ hi ” sentiment is from a Stencil which kids use. I think they are good to use for short sentiments. Thought I will pass on that idea to you :) PS: Coming up with titles for the blog post is no easy :D Thanks for dropping by. Cheers, Jaya

CraftyJC Challenge #6: I {Heart} U

Ok, so my settling in Bangalore has taken a little longer than I thought it would. Just about 5 months longer :p In the last 5 mos, all I made is a super simple sticker card for our Anniversary in December. And that’s it :D Now, V-day rolled by – and I had to make something for DH – if only to justify my buying and hoarding of craft supplies. Then I saw this Inspiration entry from Shalini for CraftyJC Challenge #6 . I knew I had to make a window card with those cute ribbon tucks. So, here is my take on this challenge Nothing to boast about – but the fact that I have actually done a bit of crafting! lol.. but I simply love the way it has turned out :) All your entries at CraftyJC Challenge are great inspiration girls. Thanks a lot   What went in Hobbycraft card stock from 2 years back Nestabilities for the circle cut in the card & Vellum Hand written sentiment with Silver pen – couldn’t find my white pen Ribbon from Pune d...

Thanks a lot girl :)    And my Secret Sweetie – Mansi :) She sent me the same card I was drooling over at the CraftyJC Challenge   #6 Inspiration along with some super sweet die cuts! Sigh, now I MUST make some stuff I think :) Thanks a LOT girls. Means a lot to me :) Cheers, Jaya
