Image
My dad’s birthday coming Monday! :) This is the card I’ve made for him – on behalf of my lil one Keerthana. This is card is abso digital! All stamps are digital! So I’ve listed the stamps & their sources end of the post. The card fold is called the tri-fold or  the quadra-fold depending the tutorial you refer to :) I referred to this tutorial @ craftiblog Hope this picture shows you the folds and valleys better :) Isn’t Darby a sweetie? I bought this digital stamp from allthatscraps .  She reminds me of my own lil sprite! :) The entire card has tons of small digi images popped up and loads of glitter. I put them all in one page word document, printed it, cut them apart and coloured them with pencils:) Made it really easy! Foam balloons and hats – itsybitsy Happy Birthday sentiment from Meljen Cupcakes from papercraftinspirations (PIN65.templates2). They are topped with flowers from itsybitsy again Alice in the wonderland cake ...

I like the glittered wings :) Using the shimmer 3-D glitter by Fevicryl! Sentiment – computer generated – Angelica font – as usual :) Entering this for challenge allsortschallenge – In stitches ynschallenges simonsaysstampschallenge – wings !   Thanks for looking. ETA: Quick tip on Digi storage: I know some of us, if you are like me, might find it a little difficult to remember where we got our free digis from. I’ve devised an idea. Hope it helps you too! Just add the Blog’s name to the end of the digi and you can find the source, so that you can credit the crafter, quickly. I want to thank the so many wonderful crafters all over the world who share their talents so generously. Thanks! :)

Say it with flowers!

Image
Here is a quick card using a digi image from papercraftinspirationsmagazine (Flower from PIN64.templates1 & stem from PIN63.templates3) This site has very cool papers & digi-stamps. Do try this! :) The flower & the stem are combined using GIMP . Coloured with markers – a lot left to be desired I guess :D .. lol.. Paper from Birds Cards that I seem to be using all over the place. I find the checks adding the right amount of pattern to the card & leaving the focus on the image or sentiment. Tie the ribbon a a bow & secure the ends just behind the patterned papers  - save on ribbon & save on bulkiness.. also the inside the of the card remain tidy. Sentiment is again computer generated - font Angelina. Please let me know if you’d like me to post that. Thanks for seeing :)

A bunch of wishes!

I’ve been wanting to make a card for a very nice person at work.. as a gift. Here it is finally in reality! :) Purple has been on my head for a while now. Coz I want to make some Mother’s Day cards using this colour! And I want to use that paper in the background for that :) PS: In India, we celebrate Mother’s Day first Sunday of the month May. The flower is a free digi-stamp called Snowdrop from papergardenprojects . Go to the Store & then to Digital supplies.   The small checks background paper is from the same set as from Birds Cards that I also used in this card . Pencil coloured the stamp with a touch if glitter (Fevicryl 3D glitter – shimmer – this is a must have) The sentiment is computer generated and is at the end of the post for your use :) This card is an entry for these challenges – almost everyone wants a Spring card! :) Card Patterns Sketch 56 Hump Day Inspiration #4 craftycalendarchallenge Challenge #6 caardvarks Lacy Days   Frosteddes...

Birthday Card for guys!

Image
Phew! it is pretty difficult to make cards for guys :) Well. here is my take on this. It actually started out as beige and brown and ended here! hhheehe! :)   Dry embossed layer in the middle, hugged by strips of silver. Stamped the cake – decided on this after a load of other images :) Sentiment is computer generated and the Chipboard from itsybitsy.in wrapped in a piece of string Added a little paper and a bit stamping on the inside And then made another one too :)   An entry for Cards for Men - challenge  #6 The blue checks digi paper is from Birds Card . Bird has soo much goodness to offer. Please do visit this blog if you haven’t. Such lovely stamps, sentiments and papers – and so generously free! Thanks for dropping by :)

Love Birds

Image
Ok. Love is not a verb here :) Though one should love birds, this card has Love Birds as a name.. hmm.. I am rambling here! This is for someone who wanted to give a card to her fiancĂ© on their engagement day. How sweet isn’t it! Congratulations to them both. The love birds are from a digi stamp on PollyCraft here . Please let me know if you try this out. Chipboards from itsybitsy. Hearts are hand cut. Sentiment coined by yours truly :)   The edges inked with silver. This is what the inside says. I love the song by Bryan Adams “I finally found someone” The sentiment “Can’t wait….” is from that.. hope BADAMS wouldn’t mind :) Thanks for looking :) PS: For once, I think the close up shot has come out ok.
