A shaped Mini Birthday Book for a sweet girl

Image
A friend’s little girl turned 11. Not a little girl anymore. Not a grown up one either. Here is a mini book I made for her. I used the Flower shaped album by Sizzix . These make the process super easy. I die cut chipboard twice, and then Fabriano card stock 6 pieces and DCWV paper 12 in number. Remember that half of these will have to but upside down – to help cover both sides. Then I went to town with stamping. Oh stamping.. stamping.. How I doeth love thee. If I were Shakespeare, probably that might have been my sonnet :) Now this page. This is top most favourite page. Ever. The stamps are from this HUGE Waltzing Mouse stamp set called Pint size Heroines. Tell her how so very precious she is. How much you love her. These are three tags, for the mum, dad and bro to write notes for her. The left side stamps & dies are from Sizzix. The right tags die cut using Sizzix dies. And stamps are from Hero Arts. This is another awesome Papertrey Ink stamp set. Both pages re...

Love Actually

Image
Hello there.. hope you are well and this New Year brings you abundant blessings. I made this “Mini Card-Book” – which is a kind of a .. sort of a.. cross between a card and a scrapbook :) This form satisfies my love for stamping, and open a brand new canvas to, well, more stamping per card. Win Win I say :) Love Actually – from that sweet movie :) Sizzix dies and some DCWV aplhas.   Papertrey Ink stamps and DCWV papers More Papertrey  Ink stamps and dies. The tags bound with the ring pulls out to allow for a bit of journaling Now this page is with Clearly Besotted stamps. The entire page is from one single set.   This couple stamp is from Sarah Kay. And the cute love notes and hearts background is all Papertrey Ink. Yes, you can say I love love PTI :D     This page is a full blown PTI stamped page.. the left page inspired by Whatsapp backdrop – have you noticed the brilliant really subtle outline images? Sweet.   The last page with a DCQV...

Bloom where you're planted - repeatedly!

Image
I recently made a multi page card for a lovely girl's 10th birthday. And this is one page of that standing card (thanks Tejal for the tute ). The sentiment, I hope, will gently encourage the little girl to bloom to her best .. bloom where God has planted her.. so that she'll be a blessing to everyone. Happy Birthday Jaanu. What went in - Stamps - Papertrey sets Fabriano Card Stock - white Inks - Memento - they are almost the only ones I own Can you suggest an alternate card stock?? Fabriano seems to absorb too much ink :( Entering this to: Simplicity challenge -  Can You Repeat That?  (The flowers and butterflies and even the journaling lines were stamped - repeatedly :)) Keep It Simple Challenge - Tropical  (I hope the colors are ok) Muse Challenge - #55  {the color stamped lower page and the Black stamped Sentiment) Thanks for stopping by :) And remember to bloom where you're planted Cheers JC

Scallop Sizzix Album

Image
Now say that title again. One more time..One last time.. Tongue twister isnt it? But there is nothing twisted with these gorgeous Sizzix album dies . They cut through those multiple layers of papers so beautifull and they cut chipboard too. Yout must see the finish to believe. See all those die cut pages nestled between the album cover?? I cut a bunch of DCWV papers (Flower stack) amd fabriano papers with the Sizzix Scallop Rectangle #2 . The center polka dots were stamped (Papertrey) on a frame die cut with Sizzox Decorative Frames. I chose the colours from the papers. Then added the layers of frames topped with this pretty bunch of felt flowers. The nice thing about the Frames is that, you can add layers without adding bulk. The die actually cuts those skinny frames which can be layered within each other - alllowing you to build layers sans bulk. Awesome idea!! What went in Sizzix Bigz XL Die - Scallop Rectangle Albums #2 Sizzix Framelits  Deco...

All About You – A special scrapbook

Image
A few months back, my friend A from a local crafters group asked me to make scrapbooks for some students she teaches. That sent me on a tizzy to see how I can help in making one which will truly be useful. It took me a couple of months to get the basics ready, figure out an easy-to-read font, content, and format ready. And this is a result of that work. This is book is good for all children. There are more than 100 individually stamped images which the child colours herself/himself – to make the scrapbook her/his own. Each page has been reviewed over and over again for usefulness. And as usual, I’ve used Fabriano Elle Erre card stock – so the child can write, scribble, colour directly on the paper. These books truly have a piece of me in them. I hope whoever uses them will be enriched. I’ve used dozens of Papertrey Ink stamps – especially the Tiny Treats – Valentine Stamp Set .   Each page had a cheerful Caterpillar – a familiar face which travels with the child p...

I had fun with this scrapbook. Lot of fun :) Someone wanted me to make her a scrapbook (thanks for the shout-out Juhi) for her little boy – to scrapbook his summer holidays. Tree, boys and house done up on Silhouette Studio, printed and cut Paper from itsybitsy too.
